With the gradual maturity of various deep processing technologies, cassava has gradually become the world recognized economic crop with extremely high comprehensive utilization value and important industrial raw materials, and the global annual trade volume reaches 20 billion dollars.

Cassava is one of the three major tubers in the world. It is the fifth largest crop in China after rice, sweet potato, sugarcane and corn, which has been widely planted to process starch and fodder. Due to the seasonal planting of cassava, the acquisition time is highly concentrated. The water content of cassava is high, it is easy to get mouldy and deteriorated if not dried. As a result, it is difficult to store. Adopting general drying equipment needs high energy consumption while natural drying will be affected by the weather. The cassava production line developed by our company has brought economic benefits to farmers and processing enterprises. 

 
The main machine of the production line is mesh belt dryer, it composed of 57 layers of stainless steel mesh belt on both sides, which is driven by chains and equipped with baffles on both sides to prevent material falling into the track. Hot air is provided by a coal-fired (wood-burning) energy-saving hot air stove or steam heat exchanger. The hot air is sent to the bottom of the drying equipment through the bottom mesh belt by hot air blower and exchange heat with dry materials to remove some moisture. The drying process is completed by passing through the mesh belt layer by layer.

Because the heat in the equipment is reused, the final air exhaust temperature is around 40℃, close to natural wind temperature. Therefore, the high heat utilization reduces the cost of drying. Cassava Conveyor dryer is also easy to operate and maintain. The drying area, air pressure and volume, drying temperature and operating speed of the mesh belt can be adjusted. Different technological processes and necessary auxiliary equipment can be adopted to adapt to the characteristics and quality requirements of cassava.
