KODI Machinery Titanium Materials Welding Process
Time:2022-10-08 Reading times:389
There are many welding methods for titanium materials: argon arc welding, submerged arc welding, vacuum electron beam welding, etc. Use argon tungsten arc welding for the thickness below 3mm, and use argon melting arc welding for the thickness above 3mm. The purity of argon is not less than 99.99%, and the content of air and water vapor in argon is strictly controlled.
Before welding, titanium material should be treated with surface treatment such as oil pollution removal, oxidation skin removal and oxidation film removal. Due to the high chemical activity of titanium materials, which are easy to be polluted by oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen, welding methods such as electrode arc welding, oxyacetylene (or oxypropane, etc.) gas welding, C02 welding, atomic hydrogen welding, etc. cannot be used.
